When I don't renew my @artinstitutechi membership for the first time, it's because AIC desecrated "Untitled" (Portrait of Ross in L.A.) by Felix Gonzalez-Torres. The erasure of Ross's memory and Gonzalez-Torres's intent in the new description is an unconsciable and banal evil.
The following is a MAJOR misconception parents/adults have about kids with #ADHD
Adult: I know this kid really well, and you’re wrong about them. It’s not just that ADHD won’t let them do what they’re asked. That’s just an excuse. They’re actually *choosing* not to.
Me: Oh?/1
Workers aren’t “quiet-quitting” to avoid burnout. They’re refusing to have their labor stolen without compensation. Idk why there are so many bad articles about this
The other thing I can’t shake about this whole secret government business is it was Christian Porter who advised Morrison it was legal. The same man who refused to inform parliament who paid him huge sums of money for his legal fund to sue a public broadcaster (& me).
the ADHD urge to pour time and energy into developing a complex organizational system, just to immediately abandon it because it requires too much effort to maintain
Expecting autistic people to “try harder” implies that: a) we are not trying hard enough; and b) trying harder would help us. These beliefs are often wrong; many of us try our *utmost*, yet still encounter issues because we can’t make ourselves NT (and we shouldn’t need to).
I think a lot of people with ADHD aren't sure what goals to set for themselves.
What's realistic and what's too much of a stretch? Is "stop procrastinating" too ambitious? Is "get stuff done" or "declutter my house" too vague?

If I hadn’t read about the concept of executive dysfunction on social media, I never would’ve pursued and eventually received an adhd diagnosis. I’m medicated and it changed my life. Adhd women and girls are chronically underdiagnosed and we need more awareness around it
Psychologists are seeing more patients claiming to have undiagnosed conditions like ADHD. But are 'Dr Google' and TikTok helping raise awareness of mental health conditions, or misleading millions? (via @abcmelbourne) https://t.co/6WdnNFOUJD

There are several types of memory challenges for people with ADHD.
Most are familiar with long-term memory and working memory, but less well known is something called prospective memory.
