Thoughtful blog written by our former diversity captain Leo on the importance of pride and supporting those in the LGBT+ community. Leo is the reason why we have our diversity club at @aylshamhigh and we continue to be so proud of him and his role with @AntiBullyingPro
This #PrideMonth, our Anti-Bullying Ambassador Leo is sharing his experience as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and why he thinks there is still much to do to tackle homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in today’s society. https://t.co/b8tDDup6al
Introducing our BVS Friendly Faces. New t-shirts arrived, new poster, promo posters on order and new rota/roles to come, but same kind, caring and supportive children. A credit to our school and their peers!
This will be added to @AHSchoolLibrary's collection soon. A fab addition to the shelf help collection to support students with advice around mental health. Thank you to @scholasticuk for sending a copy through for diversity club to check out.
If you like short stories it's worth checking this out. Lots of inspiring writing on the theme of Pride.
p.s. Can we get a copy for @AHSchoolLibrary please?
Our workshops are in full swing! Through music, art and dancing, our young people are unlocking their creativity and embracing their differences to celebrate #AntiBullyingWeek 💪
