Would you ever automate your strategy?

For example, this is one of my gold algos from this week.

It’s a 5-minute trend-following strategy with a spread filter and range detector, designed to perform best when there is a true trend.

The idea is simple: capped downside through a fixed stop loss, with open-ended upside using a trailing stop when the trend keeps running.
