There are some DMs that I get and I rarely share.
It's about young people achieving different milestones.
I don't think it's the type of DMs most people get.
Reading such DMs makes me feel so proud of myself.
Young people buying lands, cars, renting their first apartment, building a house, getting their first jobs, stopping yahoo, securing visas, etc.
They always come to share with me and I congratulate them privately.
I don't take it for granted.
To some of them, I am their inspiration.
Some of them lost their fathers at very young ages, and they see me as a fatherly figure.
Sometimes I read those DMs to my lovely wife, and she just keeps praising me.
I have successfully built a page where many people find as a safe haven.
I can't count the things I have been able to achieve through this page, and as an anonymous man.
I don't take a dime from them, but through me, some of them have met their spouses, too.
Sometimes, I pinch myself because I have done so much than many of you even know about.
May posterity be kind to me.
End.
@Okeke_Uz Indeed, good people still exist, and you're one of them. ❤️
Since an okada rider fell me and the exhaust burnt my leg, I hardly enter bikes again. If the rider no look Igbo, na my legediz Benz I dey use. 🤣😭 The pain no be small!
@EuniceOlamide3 I thought I'm the only one in this boat.
You do you, it's been perceived as you have no option (pick-me girl)
Yet they want a good girl, but can't differentiate when they see one.
One day God will settle every good girl out there
A woman does not have a fixed character.
It's men that mostly have a fixed character.
Who a man is today when he's broke, is who he most certainly would be when he's rich.
Money was the only difference; not his character.
And so, this is why femininity is malleable and masculinity is shrewd.
How you lead a woman is how she will most likely follow.
And as you're leading her, you're remolding her thinking, and by extension, her character.
But that character needs a solid foundation- good parental upbringing, for you to start from.
If the foundation is fairly good, you'd have less stress leading her right.
If the foundation is poor, you'd have more stress leading her right.
The latter would largely depend on your level of tolerance and how forgiven you are.
And that's why I always say that when you choose your wife, you have chosen your destiny.
End.
@GloriousGod01 I think giving is a personality something not a gender based something.
I know of a girl who has gifted her boyfriend countless times and the guy never reciprocatrd not for once until the end of the relationship.
So it's an individual rait.
@Chocolatechomzy After tagging the ijenwa.
You went further to support her option didn't you?
Or Am I now dumb that I don't understand English anymore
"Give this child mercy killing" if you were the mum considering the pain you went through in birthing that child, you wont have the mind
If you have a sister that is below 25, a graduate that is now working and is smart.
Please encourage her to go into a relationship while growing in her career.
Most young people who entered the corporate world at very young ages, tend to get to management level or even senior management level before they turn 35.
If a young woman says that she wants to only focus on her career and not be "distracted" by relationships, she may be making a wrong decision for herself and may become a victim of her own success.
As she's approaching management level she begins to earn more money and becomes more busy.
As long as she's earning the salary for her role, no one will say that "because she's a woman, let's give her preferential treatment".
If her male colleagues are meant to stay late in the office or come to the office on some weekends, she must also do as they do.
Don't forget - she is also becoming a boss too.
When and where would she find time to meet men, date men and be able to give her relationship the required attention to be able to sustain it?
Unless she wants to be doing office romance which, in most cases, doesn't always end well.
Also, as she keep progressing in her career, she will begin to be more independent, less feminine and more competitive in her mindset.
And some of these traits can drive men away and limit their chances towards securing a serious relationship.
So, if she had started at a younger age and gotten married before she starts to face those managerial challenges or work stress, she would have secured her emotional needs already.
And then, because she now has a husband, she can either decide to resign and be a stay at home wife and mother, or take up a less demanding career, or even do better at her job depending on the dynamics of her marriage.
Quite a lot of these career single women in their late 20s or 30s often meet men who just want to take undue advantage of them, offer them marriage in exchange for monetary benefits or gains.
No real connections.
They didn't build together.
The man probably worked his ass off to his present position and will not just be willing to give that all to a woman that doesn't have her own.
Or the man doesn't have as much as she has.
But because she's desperate for marriage, her options or power to select are limited.
In some cases, the women even spend more on their wedding.
I hope you understand.
End.
Before 2020, I was always leaving the house every day of the week to work.
Sometimes, I would return home at 8 or 9pm.
Once I enter the house, my wife would welcome me.
On the TV, she would be watching one movie or series.
Then she will change the channel to CNN or BBC for me and ask me to go shower and have dinner.
"This is what you stay at home all day to do. Watch Telemundo or Zee world. You stay at home all day doing nothing. I go out every day to earn money to provide you for you and these children. Lazy woman!"
She won't say anything to me.
She'll go to the kitchen and wait for me to shower before dishing out my food.
I would notice that her eyes were blurry.
In the morning, I would be off by latest 6:30 am.
One day, I came back home, and my wife said that she wanted to discuss with me.
"Sweetie, I am depressed. I want to go back to work. I feel like I am useless in this marriage and I am not contributing anything to it. Please, help me find a job"
I blasted her and told her that I got a job without her, and I used my qualifications to apply, and that she should do same.
My wife cried so much that night.
Then came covid 19...
My office had asked us to start working from home.
Monday to Friday, I was home working.
My kids were still going to school under strict covid rules.
I started studying my wife more.
This woman was not resting.
I figured that she was only watching those series or shows just to stay awake to welcome me back home.
She was busier than I was.
She showed me what it meant to have a wife who is a housewife.
One day, I could not take it anymore.
"Baby, you have been asking me to pay you monthly salary, I think you're right. I will be giving you the money"
Covid made me appreciate my lovely wife, more.
Despite dating her for 9 years, I still could not see that God had blessed me enormously.
Because I was carried away by my female colleagues that were age mates with me and working.
And I wanted my wife to "fit in".
I was wrong.
That was why in 2021, I came here to write that a housewife that is playing her role effectively and efficiently without bringing a dime is not a liability.
It took me years into marriage to realize this.
My lovely wife is a hard worker.
And I have seen and still seeing the results of her hardwork on our lovely children.
Our children are so smart and they're high flyers in their schools.
Not only that, they are well behaved and very respectful and contented with what they have.
All made possible because of my lovely wife.
As a man, if you have a wife like mine, please be kind and be patient with her.
Yes, she may not be bringing money, but that's not her primary role or responsibility.
Your Lovely wife is more valuable to you than the money that you hope to be getting from her.
Only if you will open your brain and mind to understand me.
End.
Assumptions are deal-breaker. Imagine destroying something beautiful over something you could have simply asked about. If you want clarity, ask questions. Don't let your assumptions ruin what honest communication could have saved.
