AI writes code at the speed of thought. As a dev who used AI before the hype, I’m amazed, yet uneasy.
The speed is incredible.
The knowledge loss? Real.
We risk a generation that can prompt, but can’t problem-solve.
Use AI. But don’t outsource your understanding.

@burkeholland @svpino Cursor has this nice “restore to checkpoint” functionality that allows you go back and easily throw away everything added up to that point. Comes in handy.

@burkeholland @svpino @burkeholland I have enjoyed using VScode. Kudos on moving fast. However, I had to switch to cursor recently due to some extra features there. Would be great if vscode could add that eg vscode does not allow you upload a figma UI screenshot and ask it to implement it.
