Of course Mayor Leni Robredo knows about Pax Silica. 🩷

If you think the people in our government cares about the environment, Gina Lopez was kicked out from being the DENR secretary by 16 over 8 votes against her.
Within 10 months in her post, she closed 23 mining operations, banned open-pit mining and shut down half of the country's mining companies.
Unfortunately, members of the congressional committee decided to remove her, as some of the 16 members who voted are connected on the mining industry, which explains why most of mining operations resumed after Gina Lopez got fired.
This is one of the most disgusting examples of our politicians prioritizing their personal interest over environmental welfare.
If only Ma’am Gina Lopez were still here, ano kaya ang magiging situation ng environment natin ngayon?
In hindsight, theres one thing the Cayetano siblings did well yesterday and it was unintentionally giving Atty Chel Diokno the spotlight he deserves. Every question/argument they threw at him only gave him a chance to prove hes one of the country’s finest legal minds.
@dzbb
LESSONS FROM HISTORY: 2ND ENVELOPE VS.

| via @AllisonCoABSCBN

‘NAGLALABASAN ANG SAKIT ONCE NA LUMALABAS ANG WARRANT'
Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson explained his recent “bawal magka-warrant, baka magkasakit” tweet during an interview with DZMM, calling out what appears to be a recurring pattern of personalities suddenly falling ill and being hospitalized when facing arrest.
Lacson cited the case of former DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, who are both confined at the PNP General Hospital while facing non-bailable plunder charges.

Remember them and do not vote again.
If you want this destabiliser investigated, arrested where warranted by law at the soonest time, and charged with the appropriate offenses, please like and repost.
Let us call upon the government and the competent authorities to enforce our accountability mechanisms with urgency, impartiality, and resolve—without fear or favour against those who continuously undermine our institutions, sow division and disorder, and seek to wrest power from a legitimately elected President.
Their actions have become increasingly clear. He arrogated unto himself powers and authority that were never his to exercise. He worked in concert with a purported Blue Ribbon Committee that lacked the proper authority of the Senate, in an attempt to bastardise established institutions and lawful processes. They came dangerously close to succeeding once again.
We condemn, in the strongest possible terms, this serial destabiliser, his network of corrupt political allies, and their 18 delivery syndicates.
We likewise condemn the Cayetano group of opportunistic politicians whose overriding objective is the acquisition of power, the preservation of impunity, and the protection of personal and political interests at the expense of institutional integrity and the rule of law.
The decision to expose the illegal presence of the People’s Republic of China’s floating, movable platform is not only about being transparent with the Filipino people and countering China’s lies.
It is also meant to inform the international community, like-minded states, and our allies and friends that China is once again violating UNCLOS, undermining the rules-based order, and jeopardizing the peace and prosperity of this region.
Because if we choose to stay silent — if we choose to look away from such unlawful acts — we only embolden the bully, convincing it that it can do whatever it pleases simply because it has the military and economic might to silence the rest of us.
But the Philippines will not be silenced. We choose to stand up to bullies!
CAN THE BLOC OF 12 VOTE FOR A SENATE PRESIDENT?
“YES”, says Retired Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, “under the present circumstances - because Jinggoy Estrada cannot be considered a member (who can vote) at this point”
Here’s one legislators missed. Carpio says the Anti-Plunder Law (RA 7080) strictly prevents a public officer from holding office, applying both during an active trial and upon final conviction.
Carpio says Jinggoy is now SUSPENDED from holding office:
Preventive Suspension: Under Section 5 of the law, any public officer against whom a valid criminal prosecution for plunder is pending in court must be suspended from office. This ensures the accused cannot use their position or the prerogatives of their office to influence witnesses or tamper with evidence.
So with this Carpio said “the constitution refers to a majority of senate members (who can vote for an SP or Senate Pro Tempore)
With Jinggoy’s case & Bato missing plus Escudero transfering, the Gatchalian bloc has “majority of ALL members”

OPINION: In the end, leadership in the Senate is not established in Facebook livestreams or destabilization plots. It is exercised through institutional recognition and integrity, and public trust. https://t.co/ZhVVedQv83
We MUST ensure that no Cayetanos, Villars, Padillas, Marcoletas, Marcoses, and Legardas will win in the 2028 elections.
We have seen firsthand how political dynasties stunt our political development, deprive us of any meaningful change.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. HINDI NA PWEDE ‘TO.
Hypocrite, @loren_legarda! Alam mong pwd ang 12-senator quorum. Panoorin mo ulit eto para maalala mo. Sirang-sira ka na. You're political career is dead 🤬
