And Why You Must Trust Yourself

The opposition is volunteering its commitment to a man who has made no commitment to them.

Every opposition leader whispering Chiwenga’s name is guessing. They are guessing he will end CAB3. They are guessing he will deliver a transitional government. They are guessing he will respect a GNU. They are guessing he will hand over power after three days or five years or whatever arrangement they have imagined in their desperate minds.

He has made none of these commitments. Not one. Not publicly. Not privately on the record. Not anywhere that can be verified.

I challenge anyone reading this to produce a single statement — with his lips, in his own words, on public record — where Chiwenga says he does not want CAB3. Where he says he does not want the presidency. Where he commits to a free and fair election. Where he commits to civilian supremacy. Where he commits to anything except his own ambition.

You cannot produce it. Because it does not exist.

What exists is desperation. And desperation makes people hear promises that were never made.

The people reaching for Chiwenga are the same people who:

Got paid and stayed silent while Zimbabwe was dismantled piece by piece.

Sold their principles at inaugurations and court rooms and filing offices.

Filed the wrong papers when it mattered most and cost Felix Sibanda his Senate seat and twenty-one others theirs.

Resigned when everything was at stake and called it strategy.

Saw CAB3 coming like a climax during sex and said nothing until it was too late to stop it.

And now these same people want to raise their voices and ask for Chiwenga — a man who only works under command, who has the brain of a fly, who cannot see past the next order, who has never once demonstrated the capacity for independent strategic thought, who barks because he cannot argue, and who is standing on a street corner in Harare waiting for a payment that will never come.

Let me state this clearly.

Chiwenga is not coming to save you. He has no brain for it. He has no command for it. He has no plan for it. He has no commitment to it. And it is not coming.

So here is what you must do for yourself.

Trust ZEM. Not Chamisa. Not anyone in the current opposition. Trust ZEM — because ZEM was against the coup in 2017 when everyone else was celebrating. Because ZEM predicted every one-party state manoeuvre that has brought Zimbabwe to this moment. Because ZEM told you that you would be gnashing your teeth with hunger and dejection. That the Chinese would flood Zimbabwe. That you would drink sewage water. That your rural land would be taken from you. That you would wake up one day with nothing in Zimbabwe — not land, not a home, not a leader willing to stand for you — because they sold out a long time ago.

All of that has happened. Exactly as ZEM said it would.

And when the opposition still wishes for the general — the general with Chiwenga’s record, Chiwenga’s history, Chiwenga’s crimes — then I wonder why anyone takes them seriously about Zimbabwe at all.

Zimbabwe deserves people who saw it coming and said so.

Zimbabwe deserves people who are still saying so now.

That is ZEM.

Trust yourself. Trust the truth. Trust the process that does not involve generals.

🚨Michael Burry says Nvidia has 3 big customers and if they stop buying the whole thing is over.

Those 3 customers now account for 64% of Nvidia's entire accounts receivable.

In 2020 that number was 33%. It jumped 8 percentage points in a single quarter.

Nvidia's revenue is not spread across a broad market. It is almost entirely dependent on a handful of buyers.

Burry's argument is about why those buyers may slow down or stop entirely.

He calls it the "bezzle." The bezzle is not that AI is fake. It is that a massive portion of current AI spending is coming from companies that are benchmarking models, testing systems, and competing on AI leaderboards.

That activity is temporary. It will end. But it is being counted and financed today as if it is permanent growing demand.

He says: "They are just flying empty airplanes around."

When that benchmarking phase ends those 3 concentrated customers have far less reason to keep ordering chips at the current pace.

And because Nvidia's revenue is this concentrated even a partial slowdown from those buyers creates a massive hole in its numbers.

Now here is where it gets more alarming.

Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, and Oracle together have $662 billion in off balance sheet AI commitments according to Moody's.

Standard accounting rules allow companies to keep this completely hidden from their reported numbers.

To fund this infrastructure private equity firms have been buying life insurance companies.

But why?

A PE firm owns illiquid investments that need financing. It buys an insurance company which collects premiums from ordinary policyholders. That insurance company then invests those premiums into the PE firm's own illiquid assets.

The PE firm then sets up a captive reinsurer in Bermuda with lighter capital requirements and pushes the insurance risk onto that offshore balance sheet.

Burry's point is that all of this is connected. The same PE firms own the insurance companies funding the AI debt. The same Bermuda structures hold the risk.

If any major hyperscaler walks away from a data center commitment everything hits at the same time because every counterparty in the chain is linked to the same underlying assets.

The AI boom is being measured during the most artificial phase of the buildout.

Nobody knows what real demand looks like when the benchmarking phase is over and $662 billion in hidden commitments needs to be serviced.

The constitution belongs to every Zimbabwean. Not to the opposition. Not to any party. Not to any movement including ZEM.

ZEM has never claimed ownership of the constitutional fight. ZEM has stated clearly and repeatedly this week that CAB3 must be stopped through every legitimate constitutional avenue available — courts, civic action, regional pressure, international accountability.

ZEM’s disagreement has never been with anyone who opposes CAB3. It has been specifically with the proposition that military intervention is an acceptable method of defending the constitution. That position stands.

But on the broader point — a united civic front against CAB3 that is non-partisan, non-military, and constitutionally grounded is exactly what ZEM supports.

If that front is being built, ZEM is part of it.

The constitution is the document. The people are the defenders. That is the only coalition that matters right now.

Where he says he does not want the presidency. Where he commits to a free and fair election. Where he commits to civilian supremacy. Where he commits to anything except his own ambition.

You cannot produce it. Because it does not exist.

What exists is desperation. And desperation makes people hear promises that were never made.

The people reaching for Chiwenga are the same people who:

Got paid and stayed silent while Zimbabwe was dismantled piece by piece.

Sold their principles at inaugurations and court rooms and filing offices.

Whende, stomach politics produces exactly what you would expect.

You eat. You are satisfied for a moment. Then it passes through you and you are hungry again. Nothing was built. Nothing was stored. Nothing was invested in your future or your children's future.

That is what $50,000 per MP produces. That is what LC300s for provincial chairs produces. That is what food handouts at rallies produce. A moment of satisfaction followed by the same hunger. The same poverty. The same captured constitution.

Zimbabwe deserves nutrition that builds something permanent. Not food that passes through and leaves nothing behind.

That is the difference between stomach politics and genuine governance.

Rutendo's structural analysis of Mnangagwa's decline is largely correct. The parallel cabinet. The cartel. The transactional patronage. The institutional isolation. The visible decline. ZEM agrees with that diagnosis completely.

But the conclusion is wrong.

Rutendo describes Chiwenga as the future. A younger stronger general offering renewal and redistribution.

Renewal to whom exactly. To the generals and military aligned businesses currently shut out of Mnangagwa's cartel. Not to the people of Zimbabwe. Not to the 16 million citizens who need hospitals, schools, jobs, and constitutional government. To the powerful men who want access to the same deals that made the CAB3sters wealthy.

That is not renewal. That is a hostile takeover of the same cartel by a competing faction.

Rutendo has accurately described why Mnangagwa is the past. But replacing one patronage cartel with another military aligned patronage cartel is not the future. It is the same present with different faces at the trough.

Zimbabwe's future is not the redistribution of looting opportunities among powerful men. It is the end of the system that makes looting the primary purpose of holding power.

That system ends with civilian competence, constitutional accountability, transparent resource governance, and leaders chosen freely by the people.

Not with a 69 year old general backed by an army whose loyalty was built through decades of shared missions, shared secrets, and shared crimes.

Mnangagwa is the past. Agreed.

But Chiwenga is not the future. He is the past in a different uniform.

Zimbabwe deserves an actual future. Not a rotation.

Rutendo is now openly describing Chiwenga's military loyalty network as the force that will kill CAB3. This is important to respond to carefully.

Here is your response:

Rutendo has just described in detail why ZEM's position is correct.

He is telling Zimbabwe that CAB3 will be defeated not by courts, not by civic action, not by the people, not by constitutional process — but by soldiers loyal to Chiwenga who have not forgotten that their commander was poisoned and their colleagues have died under suspicious circumstances during the Mnangagwa era.

Read that carefully.

The anti-CAB3 outcome Rutendo is describing is a military faction defeating another military faction. The people of Zimbabwe are spectators. The constitution is irrelevant. The courts are irrelevant. The MPs are irrelevant. What matters is who has more loyal soldiers with guns.

That is not the defeat of CAB3. That is the replacement of one military arrangement with another.

And if Chiwenga's network wins that confrontation Zimbabwe wakes up the next morning with a different military faction in charge. With no electoral mandate. With no constitutional framework. With no civilian oversight. With soldiers who are loyal to a commander not to a constitution.

ZEM asks one question. After Chiwenga's network defeats CAB3 through military loyalty what happens next. Who calls the election. Who runs it. Who counts the votes. The same FAZI that has rigged every election since 1980 under military command.

ZEM does not need the military in this fight. That position is not negotiable and it is not personal. It is principled.

The fight against CAB3 is a constitutional fight. It must be won through constitutional means. The Constitutional Court. Civic pressure. Regional and international accountability. Voter challenges against individual MPs. Sustained, documented, public resistance.

The moment the anti-CAB3 movement accepts military partnership it hands the outcome to whoever controls the guns. That has never ended well for ordinary Zimbabweans. Not in 1980. Not in 2017. Not ever.

ZEM has read the ZRP statement of 3 June 2026 carefully.

Let Zimbabwe read it carefully too.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police issued a press statement today warning that anyone who attempts to influence Zimbabweans to revolt against the government will face the full wrath of the law. They are on high alert. They are asking citizens to report anyone involved in public disturbance.

This statement was issued on the same day that parliament begins deliberating CAB3.

Not a coincidence. A message.

ZEM notes the following for the permanent record.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police did not issue a statement warning MPs against taking bribes of $50,000 each to vote against the will of their constituents. That is a criminal act. No statement.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police did not issue a statement warning the government against using $31 million of public and private money to corrupt the parliamentary process. That is a criminal act. No statement.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police did not issue a statement when Tshabangu recalled 22 legitimate elected representatives through a fraudulent process. That was a constitutional crime. No statement.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police did not issue a statement when soldiers shot six civilians dead on 1 August 2018 in the streets of Harare. That was murder. No statement.

But today — the day citizens might finally say enough — the police are on high alert.

This is not a security statement. This is a threat. It is designed to silence the people of Zimbabwe at the precise moment their voice matters most. It is the uniformed enforcement of constitutional theft.

ZEM says this clearly to every Zimbabwean reading this statement:

Your right to peaceful protest, civic expression, and public dissent is guaranteed by the very constitution that CAB3 is trying to destroy. The police cannot lawfully suppress constitutionally protected civic action. What they can do — and are doing — is intimidate you into silence before you exercise it.

Do not be silenced.

The Constitutional Court challenge is still alive. The Senate vote has not happened. The international pressure window is still open. Every legitimate avenue is still available.
