Sir Alex Ferguson spent 26 years at Manchester United and won 13 league titles, including two separate three-peats.
He built that in an era when English football operated with less fewer financial restrictions than the system other clubs face today.
So perhaps United fans should explain to us how English football was allowed to operate back then. How Ferguson was able to build and sustain that level of dominance and why the financial rules have suddenly become so strict when it comes to Manchester City.
