Internship opportunities provide college students with valuable real-world experience, helping bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional world. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and practical application of skills, internships help prepare the next generation of professionals for successful careers.
Isabelle is currently attending University of North Georgia, where she is pursuing a degree in Film and Digital Media. She is passionate about creative design and bringing stories to life through video, and is eager to expand her knowledge of marketing, branding, and digital strategy while gaining industry experience.
We are thrilled to have Isabelle join Division 08 Marketing and look forward to supporting her professional growth as she begins this exciting journey.

I’ve attended the BEC Conference for many years, and it never disappoints. This week in Louisville was no exception.
Thank you to the National Glass Association and President and CEO LaKisha Woods, along with the entire NGA team, for delivering another impactful experience for the glass and glazing industry.
From Joshua Johnson’s powerful From Overlooked to Unstoppable: The Workforce Revolution You're Missing presentation (I cannot wait to read his book), to Priscilla Koeckeckerig’s perspective on building the next generation at Brin Glass, to the thought-provoking and entertaining “AI Is Your New Power Tool” session led by Ethan Turner and Deedre Daniel's How to Be More Interesting Than a Cell Phone—each presentation offered something valuable.
A few themes really stood out:
• Innovation favors the decisive. The companies thriving today are willing to think creatively, act deliberately, and explore new approaches.
• AI should empower us—not replace us. Technology can improve efficiency, but it cannot replace human knowledge, initiative, creativity, and leadership. The industry know-how accumulated over the years can't be duplicated by ai.
• Renovations and adaptive reuse are driving opportunity. With new construction slower in 2026, many glazing contractors are staying busy with renovation projects. Vacant warehouses and Class A office buildings are being converted into multifamily and mixed-use developments. And of course, data centers continue to drive construction activity. Too bad there isn't more glass in data centers.
The tabletop exhibits at BEC were also a highlight. It’s always encouraging to see building product manufacturers who still value showing up, exhibiting, and connecting face-to-face with their audience. These industry events remind us how important personal relationships remain.
Most of all, it was great reconnecting with longtime industry friends while also making several new connections.
Looking forward to GlassBuild 2026—and of course the next BEC Conference.

Project Highlights: Georgetown University 111 Massachusetts Avenue NW Renovation
Once known as the “Darth Vader” building, 111 Massachusetts Avenue NW has been transformed into a vibrant, modern academic hub in downtown Washington, D.C. The redesign, led by SmithGroup and Whiting-Turner, created classrooms, offices, student spaces, and academic facilities serving multiple Georgetown programs.
We are proud to have contributed to this landmark project and thank S. Albert Glass for choosing GGI to furnish custom-fabricated glass solutions showcased throughout the 10-story renovation.
These applications demonstrate how glass brings transparency, daylight, and modern functionality to large-scale renovations, supporting Georgetown’s vision of an open and collaborative learning environment.
