@bchesky@Airbnb@AirbnbHelp Not sure what the protocol is but at this rate, seeing as my trip is in 3 days, customer service will keep trying to “find cheap alternatives” that doesn’t exist bc everything is booked, & I will be in portugal without a place to stay.
@bchesky@Airbnb@AirbnbHelp to pay the difference as it’s their fault for having a scam listing, not listening when I raised the concern days ago, & as part of your policy to rebook something similar or better. All alternate options cost $1000+ to airbnb but it’s not my problem.
@bchesky@AirbnbHelp@Airbnb I waited a day for a support person to “investigate and find other airbnb options” for me - which there are none for a similar price - and am now being asked to wait again for them to explore. There are NO similarly affordable options, they just need
@bchesky@AirbnbHelp@Airbnb We will be abroad in 3 days and have no place to stay for an entire week. A $150 coupon is a JOKE. I have been on & off the phone and chat w several support agents - some who stop answering, some who wont do anything more. This needs to be escalated !
@bchesky@Airbnb@AirbnbHelp now, there is barely anything available - hotel airbnb or vrbo - that is similar size in the location we need as we will be abroad with no car and need to walk everywhere. At the VERY LEAST airbnb needs to help us rebook & cover the difference.
@bchesky@Airbnb@AirbnbHelp it should NOT be my responsibility to find a new place OR pay for any more than I had agreed to with my original booking. It is airbnb’s fault for not listening when I raised the concern for scammy behavior and not rebooking me days ago.
@bchesky@AirbnbHelp@Airbnb ensured me I would be covered if anything happens (ie cancellation, which happened, or if the listing was fake upon arrival.. which was likely given the host was reported and removed off airbnb as it was a scam)
@bchesky@airbnbhelp Host was asking for $ & had typical scam behavior - emotional motive, urgency, not making sense, no prof pic, no reviews - all of which I brought to @airbnb attention several days ago. They told me they cannot rebook me as “no rules were broken yet” but
@bchesky@airbnbhelp Host cancelled reservation & @Airbnb is offering $150 instead of rebooking similar/better place as promised via Aircover. My trip abroad is 3 days away and nothing else is available that isn’t $1200+ more expensive. This “service” is pathetic & inadequate.
