I am writing to formally request a refund for the financial loss of 35k and inconvenience caused due to the significant delay of our train, Train Number- 18309 from Jharsuguda to Hatia PNR: 6923702534. The scheduled timing for the train was 11:55 AM to 4:50 PM, but due to a delay of approximately 3.5 hours, we reached our destination at 8:22 PM.

As a result of this unexpected delay, we missed our scheduled flight from Ranchi to Delhi PNR Number- X5389G for which we had already made prior bookings. Consequently, we had to make fresh bookings for the next day’s flight at an additional cost. Moreover, we were forced to arrange an overnight stay at a hotel, further adding to our expenses.

Despite such a long delay, we did not receive any prior information from the railway authorities. Had we been informed in advance, we could have made alternate arrangements via Rourkela, considering the urgency of our travel. Furthermore, the train was halted near a remote area named OKRA with no connectivity, making it even more difficult for us to manage the situation.

Given the financial burden and inconvenience caused due to this delay, I kindly request a full refund covering our train tickets, additional flight charges, and hotel expenses. We have all the necessary details and proof to support our claim and are willing to provide the same upon request.

Missed our flight X5389G because of a train delay—18309, on 13th March PNR-6923702534, again delay of flight IX1117 frustrating beyond words! Spent money of 40k on tickets only to be let down by unreliable transport.
