If they'd remember us, it's when they’re full
But then they save and hold more to keep them alive even after death
They’ll watch the lot die and sit comfortably
They’ll ride in classy rides and have the poor man pay for his fuel
We’re still in slavery, saddest of all by our own blood
They have our soul and our mind and bodies in chains we do not see but know
Independence meant for a handful of people and not all is no independence
Independence is no discrimination of people, And so I ask,
#Koforidua2024
It’s independence we say
Happy faces are those with it indeed
And to the lot still in slavery, sadness
Slavery not by white masters but by our own blood
Fighting for independence so they would have it all
Not to help us all but to fill their tummies
And even
