Difficult question to answer since I was getting paid to work so it technically didn't belong to me since I was getting paid. Honestly, I have had way more fun reverse engineering hardware and software than I ever did doing commercial development.

One cool thing that sticks out is a popular Magento plugin that ended up having a bug that I couldn't fix because the code base was obfuscated into obscurity by trying to make it look like encryption. It took me two hours to create a one liner that made it dump itself and to fix the bug. Best is relative, but the fun, dopamine for hours!

I think I found a new pet project. I have been listening to @DarknetDiaries a lot lately while i am working. Specifically Episode 171: Melody Fraud caught my ear. I didn't realize how old or deep the rabbit hole went with malicious marketing and how criminal organizations were exploiting it. I know everythings is recorded to measure engagement and interests. The complexity of the criminal element is facinating to me. I guess money can move mountains.

Yes, its the legal fraud that politicians and billionaires all invest in and get kick backs from. Companies choose to make ever increasing profits at ridiculous margins at the expense of consumer, just cause "my investors may invest in someone else if i cant give them record margins". Chips are the new oil. It's all prediction markets based on proposed demand and secured demand and the prediction the market wont collapse, or get a bailout. The end game is always the same. Record profits for the companies, bonuses for the execs, higher stock prices for the investors, and ridiculous prices for the consumer that they all profit off.
