@TheodossiD Здравейте! Бих искала да попитам дали това е ваша снимка и, ако да, дали бих могла да я използвам като илюстрация в моя материал за българските избори, като посоча вашия ник.
I met one of the most conscientious and accepting priests while assisting @LucyAAsh with research for a book on the Russian Orthodox Church. Highly recommend it for a deeper look at Russia's turbulent religious history and its deep ties to the state!
Father Georgiy Edelstein, the conscience of the Orthodox Church, condemned Putin’s invasion from the outset: “We cannot close our eyes and call black, white, evil good, and say that Abel was probably wrong and provoked his older brother”. Read more here: https://t.co/X0lkHKgQag

THREAD: How to verify images online?
Social media is awash with false or misleading images, some of which get millions of engagements.
So, here's a simple guide on ways you can quickly check the veracity of an image you see on your social media feeds.
The first photo is of a Ukrainian boy from Kherson after the Russian occupation, taken by a Hungarian photographer András Hajdú.
The second photo is from a Soviet film "Come and See", directed by Elem Klimov, and it's about the horrors of German occupation of Belarus in WWII.
Stunning and devastating opening from Newsnight tonight.
Harsh, yes. Media students (and current broadcast journalists!) take note: your edit is nothing without the right choice of music. And oh boy this is quite the choice.
The Crimean Bridge has been hit, either by a missile or a sabotage attack. Strikes at the heart of Vladimir Putin’s prestige. He went to war to take Kyiv only to find that he can’t even protect Crimea. He’ll be looking for some way to respond.
Russia's technocrats have now made it super convenient to... get citizenship if you agree to go fight in the war in Ukraine. Sign a year-long contract with the army and you get fast-tracked for a passport. Best practices for the death cult
In which direction is Russia moving? Two events today provide a disturbing answer:
• Moscow court revokes the licence of respected independent newspaper Novaya Gazeta.
• Another Moscow court sentences former journalist Ivan Safronov to 22 years in prison for treason.
