Ever witnessed @djbone313 DJ in a club environment? He is a force of nature, keeping ravers on edge with fast, abrasive changes of atmosphere. This mix sees him explore a more cohesive style with gentle transitions and tracks that continuously unfold. https://t.co/YniybRdE8V
NAME THAT FAVORITE TRACK! 39 Years Ago Today, @Prince released a jazz album that featured himself on all instruments along with Eric Leeds. The songs were named numerically One through Eight.
Prince wanted to preliminarily hide his involvement by throwing off the scent indicating that it was recorded at Madhouse Studios, in Pittsburgh, PA to lead people to believe it was Eric's old band. The truth was that it was recorded in 4 days (Sept. 28 through October 1, 1986) at Prince’s Galpin Blvd Home Studio, in Chanhassen, MN.
6 was the only single released off of the album. It doesn't hurt that the amazing Susan Rogers engineered the album followed by mastering by the incomparable Bernie Grundman. And we should definitely mention the beautiful Maneca Lightner that appeared on the cover that sent people scrambling to discover who she was.
Ok, I'll say it, my favorite track...7. Hands down.
