It cannot be emphasized enough that if Democrats did not have a mere 1-seat Senate majority, it would be impossible to fill this Supreme Court seat. Mitch McConnell wouldn’t even allow the hearing that we just saw. Expanding the Senate majority in 2022 is absolutely essential.
