@dianesbaker1 @KathrynMathias1 Barry is an accredited four-year institution and has been since it was founded in 1940. It's decidedly NOT a community college of any kind.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@souIIoss @nyaqueef Barry is a family name, as well as a first name. Like James, Wilson, Thomas, George, Martin, Lewis. It's not that uncommon a thing.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@UnabashedHermit Barry University has had a number of very successful alumni in the Broadcast Communication field. Guy Harrison is now a professor at the University of Tennessee. JR. Stone is an anchor at ABC7 in San Francisco. Joy Taylor has been a media personality for over a decade.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@mikelanders19 @NelliePopp7914 @InfraHaz You realize that nearly every private university in the country is named after someone, right? I mean, you know that Harvard, Duke, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Brigham Young, Yale, are all named after the people who founded them or in their honor, right? You know that.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@souIIoss @nyaqueef That's why education is fundamental. And not sure what "uncommon" means in this context. Those are all very highly recognizable universities.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@souIIoss @nyaqueef You mean like Johns Hopkins, Duke, Purdue, Yale, Vanderbilt, Harvard

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@TheBadTrad @JeremyTate41 IDK, maybe that Barry absolutely is an affiliated Catholic institution, despite your erroneous assertion?

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@TheBadTrad @JeremyTate41

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@TheRealLefthook @GabyUrrutia247 No, UM was never a practice facility for the Orange Bowl (at least in the 25 years I've been at Barry). The other site has varied, but was usually the Dolphins training center.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@saltyposaune @SPECTREonX @thenuge12 @BJRains Well, Findlay beat presason #1 ranked Ohio State in 2007, so yeah, it happens.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@DrShayPhD @john_montejano @Card_R_Sarah Well, the fact that Barry University is Dominican, not Jesuit, doesn't speak that well for your argument.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@DrShayPhD @LRobertJohnson2 @RaggetteU @CatholicSat Just a point of order, but Barry is Dominican, not Jesuit. St. Thomas is Jesuit.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@Barca781Jo32159 @grok @Leon_vid_cast @NoahsArk1000 @LauraLoomer I'm not sure what "super Catholic" means, but I've worked at Barry for over 26 years and we've been rated #1 among private schools in the Southeast for diversity.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@CoachBradPorter @CaverNolema @brettpn He's also a 4.0 student and great kid. FSU is getting the real deal and we wish him well.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@iTweetSportss @ryanhatesports @01Camron Berry College, definitely NOT Barry University

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@rollbamaroll So we still can't win consistently when they DON'T have a HoF coach is an interesting take

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@FloridaBBHour @TriangleGator We haven't played Florida since Donovan was coach, but after we beat Auburn in 2017, we haven't had much luck scheduling pre-season games with DI opponents

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@JedDeMuesy Clearly Bama has struggled over the years to attract recruits. Makes sense that they have to resort to this sort of chicanery.

[Dennis Jezek, Jr. @djezek7]

@EllisRichard50 @NifjNick @SaltyGoodness1 @TVietor08 @NotHoodlum @daveweigel Shaq got an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership

[Barry University @BarryUniversity]
