Daniel Gacke

Father. Son. Friend. I play baseball and guitar. Songs ask me to write them, so I do.

@JimboHart You seem like a genuinely good person, Jimbo. Thank you.

Any other good reading suggestions? I’ve heard Letting Go, by David Hawkins is a good one…

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@WillHoge @BlackOpry @FranklinTheatr Is that your pedalboard? Do I see a JHS Sweet Tea dual overdrive there?

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@JasonIsbell Still makes the hair stand up on my neck.

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@vurnt22 Heck yeah, Lindsey Buckingham is a tremendous guitarist. Along with his singing and songwriting. The guy’s really an amazingly talented musician.

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@JasonIsbell You’ve got a fantastic band behind him, as well. I’ve seen both, and I think Springsteen and the E Street band is a fair comparison, as well as Petty and The Heartbreakers. All fantastic and complete bands, with a great singer and songwriter leading.

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@LarkinPoe As a guitar player myself, I’ll say it’s obvious you’re playing it all, it sounds great, that’s a bitchin’ Strat, and if I get the chance to see your band, I’m gonna go. Looks like an awesome rock show!

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@JimboHart I’m in Madison, SD, and I just had my Telecaster going through an Analogman Bad Bob boost, into my Fender Stapleton Princeton, turned up to about 7. Until it was supper time. Is that cool?

Sounded cool…😃

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@JasonIsbell I’m gonna have to take my Telecaster and plug into that thing. Seems like it’s got so much possible right on board, I’d maybe only need a tuner, comp, overdrive and delay into it. I appreciate the reply!

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

Hey @JasonIsbell, what do you think about the Magnatone Panoramic Stereo 2x10 combo? There’s one for sale in my area, and I’m intrigued, but it’d mean I’d have to sell a couple things. I’ll have to try it out, but is it as good as advertised?

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@ReturnofR Don Felder and Joe Walsh weaving their parts together on Life In The Fast Lane is really, really good stuff.

Can’t bring up That Smell, by Skynyrd, because they had 3 great players going on that one…

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@Sophia_Nyx Solsbury Hill, without question, for me.

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@RnRNationlive @RnRliveRadio Replacements?!?! Ain’t beating Paul Westerberg! 😃

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@Jonas462019118 @Jim_McMahon1 @RnRNationlive @RnRliveRadio I love seeing some of the videos available of him. It looks like he’s got extra fingers on his feet hand, his timing and accuracy were impeccable. He was just incredible.

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@Jim_McMahon1 @RnRNationlive @RnRliveRadio I was about to name him myself. Just an incredible player.

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@ThatEricAlper Caleb Meyer, by Gillian Welch
Excitable Boy- Warren Zevon
Kerosene- The Bottle Rockets
The Assasin- Patterson Hood/Jason Isbell
Sister Morphine-The Stones

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@NCAABaseball John Olerud should be on any list of college baseball’s best.

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@ReturnofR First one to come to my mind is Derek Trucks.

[Daniel Gacke @djgacke]

@BobbyPJohnson @ReturnofR Glen Campbell was, without a doubt, one of the best guitarists to ever pick up the instrument. He was absolutely incredible, and anyone who hasn’t watched some of the videos out there of him really cutting loose with it should definitely do so.
