@noahthelark@PEwithJoe@rustyrockets On the porn thing, I guess it’s a bit weird, but I’ve been in at least tens of gay bars and never seen anything of the sort. Besides, it’s LGBT+ awareness 101 that queerness isn’t explored enough in mainstream society so folks have to do it “underground”.
@noahthelark@PEwithJoe@rustyrockets Ps the coming for your children bit is reclamation. They obviously aren’t coming for your children and they don’t think coming for your children is funny. They think throwing homophobic rhetorics back at homophobes is therapeutic and I’m not going to stand in the way of it.
@noahthelark@PEwithJoe@rustyrockets If I told you that a bunch of Christians had tried to murder me, would you say that they are equivalently bad? you’ve had some negative experiences and I’m sorry about that. You’re more likely to get robbed in a poor hood but poor folks aren’t morally worse.
@Robertbigbags Words in books are often factual, but I’m kicking myself for taking the bait, this debate is derailing because, once again, you are arguing in bad faith. I bet all the crabs you kill(?) are kicking themselves for taking the bait too lol
@noahthelark@PEwithJoe@rustyrockets We agree that some of these are morally wrong without sharing a religion. In fact, many religions have similar “golden rules”, as I’m sure you know (like the commandments). There are often anthropological reasons for them. Can you think of non-religious reasons why gay bad?
@Robertbigbags thatcher:
Privatise public assets (which are now shit because that’s what happens when you enable capitalism. Companies cut corners)
also worked with Reagan to instil puppet govts in South America.
Suggest reading Naomi Klein’s The Shock Doctrine & watching the film Pride.
@Robertbigbags This is where we fundamentally can’t make progress. You think Covid is/was nothing to worry about, I think it was. You’ve got whatever statistics you want to support you, as do I. There’s no point taking this further. I enjoyed debating with you.
@Robertbigbags Half the play for conspiracy theorists is that it takes less time to make shit up (or, politely, create a theory based on some data) than it does to disprove it. Please spend some time trying from the other side. I already spend enough time trying to hear Russell out
@Robertbigbags I haven’t looked at the numbers myself because I don’t feel the need to prove Mac from It’s Always Sunny wrong (see the cereal defense episode) but even 0.15% of ~65m is ~100,000 people
@BeaLionAlways@RyanCoke8@rustyrockets Okay:
1. Vaccinations weren’t the primary means of stopping the spread (but they did better than nothing)
2. See above
3. I am healthy and already had Covid once. I didn’t like it but I was not as unsafe as vulnerable/immunocompromised people
