In an outrageous display of state-backed religious persecution, the Yunus-led interim government has bulldozed the Khilkhet Durga Mandir in Dhaka - without any prior notice, on the eve of Rath Yatra, and under pressure from an Islamist mob. The idols were thrown to the ground like debris, stripped of dignity and reverence. It’s a cold, calculated act of cultural erasure, carried out with police and railway officials standing by. It’s the demolition of trust, tolerance, and the constitutional rights of Hindu citizens.

Meanwhile, Chinmay Krishna Das, the spokesperson of the Bangladesh Sanatan Jagaran Mancha and minority rights advocate, remains behind bars for over 7 months, denied justice and dignity.

How can Hindus feel safe, let alone equal, in a country where temples are torn down and priests imprisoned with impunity?
