Because you did, IMPD officers have responded to far fewer vehicle crashes than the last snowstorm. A big thank you as well to our DPW crews for working around the clock to clear the roadways even as snow continues to fall.
One not-so-fun reminder: Please do not leave your vehicle running and unattended. Some of you have left your cars running to warm up, and we have had several stolen since yesterday.
At this time, Marion County is under a travel watch – If you do not have to go out, your couch is the safest place to be.
IMPD is also operating under Response Posture 1. This means nonpriority runs will be pended for later reporting. Please only call 911 for true emergencies.
