@Todd_Rosiak Fortunately, the Brewers have plenty of other 60-day IL guys whose status they can use in case a non-roster replacement player is needed in the postseason via petition. Also, I can't recall the Brewers ever going this long in-season (since 9/2) with a 38-man roster.
@AdamMcCalvy Some tough decisions forthcoming if Kuhnel, Uribe and Romero are all going to be part of a 14-man staff in September. Gonna have to cut guys who can go more than one inning to get these three back.
@BrewCrewers11@azadbir_13@AdamMcCalvy That's not how options work. When it's stated how many options a player has, it's typically number of years, including the current year. Within that option year, a player can be sent down a maximum of five times before outright waivers. Black has only been sent down twice in '26.
@BrewCrewers11@azadbir_13@AdamMcCalvy That is incorrect. Tyler Black can still be optioned back to the minors in 2026. The real reason is he no longer can play third base.
@AdamMcCalvy Glad it's a road game. Ohio will collect less than expected in income tax, because Uribe goes without pay for the day. Wisconsin deserves the tax revenue.
@wessywes1999@AdamMcCalvy Because Crow had to remain on optional assignment for 15 days unless the corresponding move was an injured list placement. And, the Brewers wanted to backdate Henderson's placement as well.
@AdamMcCalvy Really hoping Black has a short stint and be the replacement for Yelich. I would assume Quero up short term to slot Sanchez at DH, and then Black shortly thereafter?
