Building Epure: the open source exception-only error tracker.

One serious year before salaryman default.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

hey, I'm Joshua.

intern during the day. when I get home I build Epure: an open source error tracker for teams that want stack traces on their VPS.

I like to talk about self-host, SaaS eng, and shipping. if that's your world, say hi. looking for builder friends.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@DevaiahShrithan thanks god https://t.co/4hsSxYWr9Z exists

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@zeeg ZDR makes sense for customer data, but letting devs expense other models for personal workflows is the right call.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@wuweiweiwu fair trade for the full product. most self-host asks i see want stack traces and alerts, not all 32gb of it.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@hussainanjar good catch on ?_rsc=. a robots.txt disallow on /*?_rsc= is a cheap extra fence too, if the crawler bothers reading it.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@wickedguro I tell u this guy is lying, its impossible wtf

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@tibo_maker managing 10 agents sounds harder than just writing the code yourself at that point

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@mitchellh getting rid of heuristic window title hacks is worth it alone

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@TweetsOfSumit Shared projects and higher token rate limits are the only reason to pool when individual subs already work for isolated prompts.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@swyx Cloning a $43k/yr SaaS over a weekend with human evals is the only way to find out if the moat was ever real or just good marketing.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@TweetsOfSumit Shared projects and higher token rate limits are the only reason to pool when individual subs already work for isolated prompts.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@SimonHoiberg having to click through Vercel dashboard permissions just to change an env var broke my patience too

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@levelsio backblaze and hetzner are the last ones standing once the dashboard bloat gets cut.

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@rauchg 60% agent deployments means most sites are just talking to other scripts now

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@jonnymevs peak rage bait

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@kylegawley Bimmp !
why epure got no users … rust and open source …

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

@pmitu its been a long time mate

the best product I build must be state of the art.
so I exposed it to everyone.

its an error tracker : the goal is to break it by sending enormous amount of errors.

And yeah forgot to tell : it runs on a 2GB 2vCPU VPS ...

[Joshuaaa @djoooch]

first issues open by community for epure really help understanding what you guys really want.

do not hesitate
