Personal experience suggests not all orgs. would roll out design systems in ways that supported these values and possibilities.

@cj13 Another aspect I've found interesting is the the relative smallness of "scale" in higher ed L&T. I'm imaging someone from FAANG/MAMAA reacting to the notion of 4000+ courses & 50,000 students being "scale"

@cj13 Bloatware has almost become (a part of) the culture. Treating systems as bloatware, even when they don't have to be.

e.g. Canvas is an LMS that's built on a RESTful architecture (originally). In the best possibly world, something that could've been much more interesting.
