@DonaldClark My guess, music ind is remorphing from being a 'trophy industry' (with big winners / musicians and bands swooping a disproportionate amount of the gains) to a sustainable experience led industry. Lots more smaller festivals, concerts etc where reasonable incomes can be earned.

@rorysutherland My advice to every new graduate is to "get yourself a personal mentor ASAP" (an informal mentor works also). Every one of them later confirmed to me that it was the smartest move they ever made. It's the post graduating manoeuvres that matter.

@DonaldClark But new opportunities will emerge. We are on the cusp of a decade or two of economic prosperity (with the usual speed bumps along the way). It's 1996 all over again! The sun is splitting the sky in Ireland today with temperatures in high 20s! We are only doing positivity today!
