@acceptblies This is where I'm at now, I know I'm profitable, my results consistently verify that, but I need to gain more live market experience to deal with the little unexpected variables that are not present in backtesting

Backtesting data alone will not make you profitable.

It is KEY to figuring out if you have an edge in the markets or not, but just because your backtesting results are great doesn’t mean you’ll get the exact same results in the live markets.

There are so many different variables in the live markets that you don’t account for in backtesting.

You need experience in both.

-474, didn't even realize it was opex, was looking for a liquidity sweep + reversal and got insta-cooked

I respect that trade though, and I would've have taken that 1R long any day of the week. We live and we learn.

Of course, I will be backtesting and reviewing all the trades I took this week

yeah, I was monitoring the 1h and 4h bullish gap, and also the fact that we swept asia lows

what's so fascinating about trading is the fact that there are so many ways to react and trade, for example this guy tokennq took the exact same long but on the seconds chart and off the reaction to the OTE level, so closer to the start of the bullish move

+594, waited for data lows to get swept, no entry on the 1m, once data highs were swept I entered on a 1m ifvg for 1.45R.

price flushed all the way to the 4hr gap, what a day.

In my opinion today's NY AM session was absolutely golden, insane plays being gifted left right and center, it was a great day!

Some people might disagree, which is fine because everyone sees the market differently, that's why there's no one way to trade
