@NYPost_Mets the only Mets game I may go to is Pete Alonso and the @Orioles at Citi Field in September. What kind of owner/pres. (GM?) dumps the all time team leading slugger who plays everyday and who’s beloved by the fans?! Destroyed NL’s 2nd best team from 2 years ago.
@NYPost_Mets thank you for your article https://t.co/wfvRTrxs9s. I’m a 62 year old life long Mets fan. I went to the World Series in ‘69 & ‘86! I barely follow the Mets now. Dumping Pete Alonso was a huge slap in the face to Mets fans. I’m following the @Orioles now! Polar Bear!!
@Mike_Peters_LGM He was a fine Met, got to the NL championship game. How will Mets fans feel when Pete Alonso is elected into the Hall of Fame as an Oriole
@JoeBenigno_real heard you talking about George McGinnis and Dr. J. I went to Kutsher’s Basketball Camp in around 1975. Dr. J and McGinnis were coaches for one week each. Dr, J took it seriously and was an excellent coach. McGinnis did not. Doc wouldn’t dunk due to bad knees
@AnthonyDiComo Not surprised. The way Stearns/Cohen treated Pete Alonso was a precursor to this dreadful season. I’m barely following them. Pete was an all time great Met and I’m still so angry at them. I’ve been following the Orioles
@NickJG216@SteveGelbs The Mets dumping Pete was outright foolishness and disrespect to Pete and to the fan base. It’s as if Stearns/Cohen think they are the stars. Doesn’t work like that
