For four months, Dr. Lina Zedriga Waru has been acting President of our Party. During this period, she has steered the party well and kept the revolution alive. We're all very grateful for her dedication and service.
As her tenure comes to an end, I am pleased to announce that Hon. John Baptist Nambeshe, Deputy President Eastern Region, will be taking over as acting President of the National Unity Platform. I wish him well and request all leaders and comrades to accord him the necessary support.

Don’t you guys think it’s suspicious that the last Ebola patient happened to be discharged around the same time that travel restrictions on Uganda had been announced by America? 😂😂😂
I've just been informed of the violent abduction of my Deputy President for Buganda Region, Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, shortly after he was released on bail yesterday.
The criminal regime is doing all this to instil fear within the population, but these tactics have been employed by despots all over the world and throughout history. They never win in the end! UGANDA WILL BE FREE.
The ghetto shaped us, taught us resilience, and reminds us why we keep fighting. That’s why a roadside ‘kakomando’ often means more than a five star meal!
A short while ago, I spoke with Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, our @NUP_Ug Deputy President for Buganda Region. What a delight to see that after several months, he is out of unlawful detention without trial - at least temporarily. As everyone knows, Hon. Kivumbi never committed any offence. The criminals who attacked his home and murdered people are the ones who should be answering for their crimes - and I believe they will, at the right time. For now, we welcome him back, and the other comrades he was detained with.
It is always a great delight to see that even in the midst of so much rot, there are still judicial officers who will rise above the pervasive intimidation and live to their oath.
We celebrate the crumbs of freedom not because it’s what we deserve but because they’re also reached at after hard struggles!
Kulikayo @MuwangaMKivumbi ✊🏿
Since 21st April when he was abducted by armed men from Kamwokya, artiste and @NUP_Ug supporter, King Zale's whereabouts remain unknown. Despite every effort to locate him! Sadly, last week the High Court closed his Habeas Corpus file, after the police and military filed returns saying he's not in their custody. (Just like in the case of our Kenyan brothers where a judge said he couldn't squeeze blood from a stone, only for the state to release and deport the said persons a few days later!) Zale was taken away in the presence of many witnesses! He left behind a mother, wife and children who are seeking answers. The least the regime can do in produce him before court if he has any case to answer.

Parliament procured 20 World Cup tickets for 15 MPs & selected senior staff, each had been allocated a $700 budget as per diem for 39days (Total $27,300) and when investigations into AAA began, the plot was abandoned.
Who are the 15 MPs & select staff? What happened the tickets?
Good morning Owek. @MathiasMpuuga, you took tax payers money and when our party asked questions, you called us names!
Now I am here to let you know that you’ll soon be called to answer the very questions but this time by the same people that gave you the names to call us then!
