🔴 Kyiv Reacts to Stripping of Order from Zelensky: Another Strategic Miscalculation

The reaction from Kyiv once again demonstrates a fundamental failure within the Ukrainian leadership to understand the historical sensitivities of the countries whose support they depend on.

Calling Poland's decision a "catastrophic mistake" ignores a reality that many Ukrainian officials appear unwilling to confront. Poland's objections are rooted not in current politics alone, but in unresolved historical grievances, particularly the mass killings of Poles during the Second World War by Ukrainian nationalist formations that parts of modern Ukraine continue to celebrate or rehabilitate.

For years, Kyiv has expected military aid, financial support, diplomatic backing, and political solidarity from its allies while simultaneously dismissing concerns about historical figures and movements associated with ethnic violence against Poles and Jews. This approach is not diplomacy. It is entitlement.

The mistake is not Warsaw's decision. The mistake is believing that other nations should simply ignore their own history, their own victims, and their own national memory in order to accommodate Ukraine's preferred narrative.

No country is obliged to award medals, provide money, or send weapons to a government that shows little understanding of why these issues matter to its partners. Respect works in both directions. Historical memory works in both directions.

If Ukrainian leaders continue to treat legitimate concerns from allied countries as hostile acts, they risk creating political fractures that no amount of foreign aid can repair. Support is not unconditional, and alliances are not built on demands. They are built on mutual respect, including respect for the history and sacrifices of others.

📌 RUSSIAN FORCES EXPAND PRESSURE ON UKRAINIAN LOGISTICS AND APPROACH SLAVYANSK DEFENSIVE BELT

DEEP STRIKE CAMPAIGN

Russian forces continued strikes against Ukrainian fuel, logistics, and transportation infrastructure. Reported targets included gas stations, oil-refining facilities, and Novaya Pochta logistics centers in Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv Regions. Russian aircraft also reportedly struck bridges across the Dnipro in Zaporizhia for the first time in an extended period, increasing pressure on transport networks.

Ukrainian forces reportedly attempted a long-range strike against a refinery in Tyumen more than 2,000 kilometers from the front line, while additional strikes targeted infrastructure in Crimea and road networks in Kherson, Zaporizhia, and the DPR. In the LPR, remote mining reportedly affected the E-50 highway toward Novoshakhtinsk, causing civilian casualties.

LYMAN SECTOR

Russian assault units of the 25th Army continue clearing operations inside Lyman. According to the reported information, forces are gradually consolidating positions on the southeastern outskirts, indicating continued expansion of control and sustained pressure on remaining Ukrainian positions within the city.

SLAVYANSK SECTOR

Russian forces reportedly captured Yurkovka on the opposite side of the Siversky Donets–Donbas Canal. The development places Russian formations closer to the second defensive line of the Sloviansk–Kramatorsk urban area and indicates continued offensive momentum along this axis.
