🚀 Big news in the DuckDB spatial world!
The DuckDB spatial extension has just added support for ST_AsMVT and ST_AsMVTGeom. This functionality will be included in DuckDB v1.4 (releasing next week 🎉).
We will be able to stream vector tiles directly from DuckDB using large vector datasets (e.g., GeoParquet) stored in the cloud. This makes building scalable geospatial applications faster and more efficient than ever.
👏 Huge kudos to Max Gabrielsson for the incredible work on this feature!
