If you are referring to "lo-fi" as in things being sampled and distorted, stereo imaging narrowed etc that's been done for a long time now.

I haven't heard the "lo-fi" descriptor until a few years ago.

@Ian_Schwartzman 100% true. That said, it depends on what it is you are doing. My family ran a successful residential construction company. We weren't "all up in the camera" like Mike Holmes, but we had a strategy, worked hard, did some interviews, and build very good homes for al long time
