Heartwarming moment in ED: a young, suicidal Indigeous youth warmed up to me and opened up about their struggles after spotting my gifted beadwork from @JT_MD2024 — they said they were “really cool”! 🥹 the value of being an ally is understated.
Focus, complete and utter focus and what a magnificent job they did. They carried her majesty’s coffin numerous times today with dignity and respect. They don’t earn thousands but they’ve earned the respect of millions today, well done lads. #QueenElizabethII#pallbearers
While the Ford Conservatives march in labour day parades today, I’d like to remind them that they have a majority government and can walk the talk by repealing Bill 124, providing paid sick days, and raising the minimum wage to a livable one. @fordnation#onpoli
1. Erode public healthcare
2. Say “Look! We need to do something!” (All agree)
3. Have public pay private healthcare whatever they want (more than prev needed) to ‘fix’
4. Clear wknd plans for celebration with pal who happens to own private healthcare biz
Some thoughts on the #HealthCareCrisis in Ontario (and across Canada).
23 years as an EM physician and I have never seen things as bad as they have been for the last several months...with no sign of letting up
@NightShiftMD 💯
And EVERY field of health care is running on empty. We heard a pediatrician yell "Fudge this sugar!" at rounds this morning so we're like 2 steps away from the apocalypse.
@fordnation government announces workers can continue to claim up to 3 days of paid sick leave over a nearly 2 year period.
- For a disease requiring MINIMUM 5 days isolation
- That you can catch multiple times
- And need at least 3 vaccines to be protected from
SHOCKING.
Ever heard of the ‘Two Things’ strategy for #RetrievalPractice?
Stop, ask students a question like ‘What are 2 ways this relates to last class’, & have them write their answer. That’s it!

Yesterday I attended my last graduation ceremony as a full time faculty member. Bittersweet, but also getting ready for retirement! @whatsinsideslc#proudtobeslc
@dr_robynehd @whatsinsideslc Thanks for such timely messages about resilience. Important work for us as we prepare for consistent in-person learning again. #rebuildingresilience#lccslc
