At the NZ First conference every year, there are remits. These are ideas/proposals for party members to present to their local committees. Things that they are passionate about. The committee decides which one will be presented at the conference. The author reads out the remit to the conference crowd. Someone can speak in favour and another against it. If it is close the audience votes, and it is either accepted or rejected.
Those that are accepted are passed on to the MPs for consideration and could become policy. This is democracy, where ordinary people can contribute to what may become law. Winston says "you are the masters. We work for you".
What other party does this? None! They push their own agendas without consulting the public and we have to suck it up. That is not democracy.
I think NZ First are very unique with this. They truly are the party for the people!

Grass-finished beef comes in around 3% polyunsaturated fat. That's it. Somewhere in the low single digits, whatever the marketing says.

Now feed that same animal grain for its last few months. Corn. Soy. The stuff people imagine is turning the poor thing into a walking bottle of vegetable oil. And you test it, and the PUFA level comes out at... roughly 3%. Maybe a touch over. Still single digits. Still nothing.

Somebody's ruined the panic and it's the cow.

Because sitting inside her is one of the great pieces of engineering on this planet. The rumen. A vast fermentation vat, running on bacteria, that takes whatever goes in and dismantles it. Feed her a fortune in polyunsaturated grain and the rumen simply hydrogenates the lot. Saturates it. Reassembles those fragile fats into stable ones before they get anywhere near her muscle. She doesn't store what you feed her, she rebuilds it.

The cow is not what she eats. The cow is a filter.

Now try that with a chicken. A chicken has no rumen. A chicken is a passthrough. Feed it soy and corn, which is exactly what every commercial bird eats, and those fats sail straight into the meat unchanged. Same with the pig. Their fat is a printout of the feed bag, which is why chicken and pork sit at wildly higher PUFA levels than any beef on the shelf. Nobody argues grass-fed chicken because there's barely such a thing.

So the animal everyone's worried about is the one with the built-in refinery, and the ones nobody questions are the ones with none.

Beef is better than chicken and pork by construction. Grass, grain, doesn't matter. She's got a rumen.

Today I finished a 911 call, got back to the station, sat down to relax, and closed my eyes for a minute. My phone rang, it was a long time friend and fellow medic who needed to talk about a child he couldn’t revive recently. I could tell he was struggling. While he described the sudden death, I couldn’t help but think it could’ve been vaccine related. Right around the age for childhood shots. No outward trauma. I knew he didn’t ask the question, most don’t, so I didn’t bring it up. Just walked through everything with him. Listened. Tried to talk him out of blaming himself for the little things that weren’t his fault.
Then my tones dropped. I told him, “I’m sorry bro, I gotta go…” He heard the tones and just said, “Stay safe.”

Now I’m back waiting on the next call again. I’ll check on him later, but damn… I’m tired. He’s tired. We all are.

Side note: I often feel like I’m in a very dark ocean treading water. Exhausted, I keep kicking and swimming, just to keep my head above it. There’s hope when I take a breath, glimmer of hope, just enough to keep going.

When mRNA technology overwhelms this system, it leads to metabolic chaos, inefficient ATP production, and increased oxidative stress.

How long have we been hearing this BS mantra????

Over the last 10 years, wind and solar input to NZ's power grid has doubled. From around 5% to about 10% today.

Have our power prices reduced? No. Consumer rates have increased by 40-60% and commercial by 10-30%.

The major cause of the increase is the cost of building a new network to deliver bits and pieces of intermittent power from wind and solar sites all over.

Instead of being largely at one reliable centrally located hydro or coal powered station.

So why have we followed this insane path? Because we signed the Paris agreement and have to reduce our CO2 emissions. Climate change you know.

So over the last ten years have we reduced our output of CO2 from power generation? Yes, by an estimated 10-15 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

Yee haw.... fantastic.. right? All that extra money you paid for your power did indeed help to save the world!

Except that the saving above amounts to only around 0.005% of global emissions.

The hypocrisy of politicians and the MSM about Shane Jones' comment really pisses me off.
I was in the room at the conference when Shane said it. In context it was as he has described it. No question.
But while politicians are deeply offended by the idea of Luxon sexually prostituring himself for political expediency....
He actually does politically prostitute himself by bowing down to Labour to get his India Trade deal over the line.
And he actually does spiritually prostitute himself by bowing down to gods other than his much-loved Christian God.
