Doing a quick poll: Have you ever signed your work as the author of a stylesheet, in CSS comments? ...back in the first renaissance of CSS / front-end development
Love the examples shared in this video.

I got riled up by "10% off for IWD" sales in my inbox, so I wrote a thing. As a manager what are you actually doing to promote equity? With salaries? With hiring?

@allenholub I agree with this in the context of being a scrum master for a team of developers. I disagree that SM need to know to code within a cross functional team. Beneficial? Yes. But I would prioritize hiring for industry/domain knowledge and strong group facilitation skills.
In our latest blog, @dkardys shows how we establish equitable management practices and how to influence change through actions, large and small, to reduce bias and discrimination.

@5t3ph Once there was a kids chess club called Chess Wizards. My colleague and I inspected the code. To our horror:
<!--[if lte IE 8]>
<style type="text/css">
* { display: none }
</style>
<![endif]-->
Ever since that day we refer to this dark sorcery the #chesswizards technique
@5t3ph Long ago there was a man whose bones turned to dust trying to make a fluid box with rounded corners work in IE6 by positioning pixelated rounded-corner gifs into a series of nested span tags. Some say this is just an old-wives tale, but I saw it happen.
"The Empty Nest" is the first of the 5 UX Tales of Terror pieces of short fiction I've published. This one is about how nesting content in user interfaces can lead to your demise. https://t.co/3PuCdoAKKf
Happy Halloween! Here's a playlist of dark and haunting songs that purposely AVOIDS the monster mash, thriller, and werewolves of london. https://t.co/tnMmln4Psc
I just published UX Tales of Terror #5: The Carousel. You probably knew carousels were bad, but did you know they can lead to the loss of a loved one? #ux#ui#fable#Webdesign https://t.co/5PhaNm7wjg
Thank you for this @_marcusherrmann! We were JUST talking about what it would take to keep our accessibility standards while also building more with Vue. 🙏
@dblizzy Perhaps the latter is key, though I don't believe apathy to be the root issue. It's more of an attention bias, where folks do not "see" the gaps between their (and others) areas of expertise, or the impact on one by the other.
Pt 4: How do we encourage teams to see how the whole of what they make (the system) is as much the unowned relationship between the pieces as the individual pieces themselves?
