@jeffontheroads @nicksortor Yes the winds were 30-40 uphill, and gusts up to 50 uphill. We've had 3 towns evacuated and at least one is gone.

@nicksortor @SaltDisney2 So, the local fires here which have burned over 100,000 acres and several homes before today, have blown up because of the high winds. We have small towns that have been burned up. Our governor is a ghost. At least 2 of the fires were caused by arson. We are in Eastern Wa.

@JackPosobiec I lived in southeast Alaska on Prince of Wales island for a year when my kids were young. They were 6, 3, and 1 yoa. My husband was a cop. Alaska is wild and unique. We never forgot that time.
It's so beautiful watching the wildlife in their habitat.

I had breast cancer 30 years ago. I still had teenagers at home and my husband had a good insurance plan. I never got any outside help.
