@NYCSanitation I just had an incredibly disappointing encounter with one of your Sanitation Supervisors. After giving us a summons for "incorrectly" composting on Saturday, he dumped the entire contents of our compost bin onto the street to sweat in the hot sun. 1/x

If NYC is serious about composting, we need to train our supervisors to learn the rules and care about composting. 4/4

He didn't want me to show him what a compostable plate was and just said "take it to court".
I respect our sanitation workers and love them for the hard work that they do, but maybe this person shouldn't be a supervisor who's inspecting people's compost bins and fining them. 3/4
