@Mr_JQ@ClintRLamb Hmmm. Not sure your point is relevant to the discussion, but I'm pretty sure you think it is. So, I agree with whatever you were trying to say. I stand corrected!!
Make no mistake about it and like it or not, by granting him a "multi-year extension, and having Harbaugh effectively bless this roster by proclaiming that he expects to win with these players, Joe Schoen has essentially been cleansed of all his sins of the past by ownership and Harbaugh. He returns to "Go" as the Giants have brought in the $100M man to turn this team around and lead them as the main "architect" of the Giants' future plans. Now Harbaugh is the one ultimately responsible for the team's success and/or failures during his tenure as the Giants' Head Coach. Schoen falls into the role as one of his main lieutenants, but the "buck" stops with Harbaugh. So if things don't go as planned, and greater results aren't achieved, laying the blame at Joe Schoen's feet will be much more difficult to justify.
It's a funny thing about championships and I've seen it happen multiple times before...if the Knicks can win one this year, and it's still a tall task when you look at the West. But usually when a city gets one and they have multiple professional sports teams...it can be contagious...just saying.
Alright alright break it up. B's point was that the Ravens were down at the time Harbaugh got there and immediately got them back on track, and Momo's point was that the team might have had a down year but the organization was still extremely high quality despite that. Nothing to see here.
Enough of this Monte, he spent exactly ONE season with the Dolphins as a scouting assistant. The majority of his time has been with the Houston Texans during their resurgence under Nick Caserio. Houston promoted him to national scout in 2019, and later elevated him to co-director of college scouting.
After eight seasons in Houston, we hired him to step into the role of director of college scouting.
