@Sports__Proj Of course no change to contest sizes, but @Pick6 college football min payouts quietly were slashed today.
4/4 down to 6x from 8x.
5/5 down to 8x from 10x.
6/6 down to 15x from 20x.
@DK_Assist@Pick6 The CFB slate of Pick6 tonight was incorrectly graded. Akron WR Adrian Norton was graded as a VOID, but he played in the game. He even had 2 targets
Good news: DK's new min payouts helped with their 1PM Pick6 problem and the effective rake in those contests is down 3% under the new rules. Bad news: almost every other NFL contest saw large rake increases under the new structure. Who could have seen this coming?
@pick6 is no longer a peer to peer game from DK's perspective.
DK has a financial incentive to make 6/6 harder to hit & restrict winning users/strategies. The less frequent the min payouts are triggered, they are able to capture more of the rake increase from 23% to 40%
DraftKings’ first iteration of their P2P pick’em game was the absolute nuts.
The first round of changes; dynamic lines, no late swap, etc made it feel like a worse version of PrizePicks/Underdog
This most recent change may have killed it
Lol in typical DraftKings fashion they recognized a problem and solved in the absolute worst way imaginable. To increase the minimum payouts, they are increasing the rake to 40% of the pool. This totally changes the game to just a much shittier version of PrizePicks/UD. Brutal
This is what DraftKings wants you to see.
DraftKings PickSix
Exhibit 1: Increasing minimum threshold payouts!
Exhibit 2: Rake of 40%. Can’t imagine we’ve seen this number b4 and the sad reality is they can more easily disguise this as they push/market for higher payouts.
@tenaciousDJONES@Pick6 DK only taking a minuscule 23% rake in Pick6- can't afford to risk having to pay out a small credit if too many people hit the same prop
Since yesterday's tweet, more ppl came forward and @ThriveFantasy owes & can't pay over $350K to only 16 users. Their total debt could be 7 figures.
If you have funds, try to withdraw ASAP and tell all your friends not to deposit.
Obv no reply to the email info I gave them
Not to beat a bankrupt horse but...@ThriveFantasy is currently operating as a ponzi scheme
And they don't care it seems - people like this don't help our industry. I hope there is a resolution that doesn't screw over the dozen people I know who had 5 figures stolen from them
Hey twitter friends, I could use some help getting @ThriveFantasy 's attention. They are holding $7k+ of my money and ignoring my cashout request and all attempts at communicating with them.
@LinesmakerBrett@ThriveFantasy Would love to know if you get any traction on this. I have had a cashout of $7k+ pending for over a month and getting completely ignored by support
