@crimsonace@17thStreetSicko@B89Adam IU’s 1993 team was very good, only two other Big 10 losses - 7 points at Penn State and the home opener against eventual Rose Bowl winner Wisconsin in a monsoon.
@PatBrown954 Not sure I would trade another underperforming starting pitcher to the Braves in a change of scenery swap so he can win the NL Cy Young in 2027.
@followAdamA It’s called leverage. With Adam Silver as the home plate umpire, the Pacers were always going to take their swings as opposed to just taking three strike calls. I’m sure the Pacers felt like Zu was the most attainable fit.
@roosterbra812@csemi26 Will the Pacers extend Siakam or Zu in a year? Can they extend both of them beyond ‘27-28 with Ty on the books at over $55M for ‘28-29? Will Zu go back home to LA where he has lived since coming into the league? These are things to consider also when assessing the Zu trade.
@DustinDopirak Wallace was drafted after Jarace Walker and Mitchell was drafted after Johnny Furphy. Jalen Williams was drafted after Benedict Mathurin. OKC has done very well drafting, trading for, and developing players.
@GreggDoyelStar I think further perspective is needed. Chris Ballard played at Wisconsin for five years (1988-1992). IU played AND BEAT Bucky five times in a row during that time frame, including some blowouts. Ballard hasn’t drafted an IU player in 10 drafts, understandably some years. Now?
