@GovernorsOffice @GovernorTomWolf @SecretaryLevine Attached is a letter I sent to your office a few weeks ago urging a new approach. I'm willing to have an intelligent conversation about what does and doesn't work and how to find our way out of this mess.
@CCPISASSH0E Ancient military tech. Pole vaulter gets over the wall, javelin is good at throwing spears, discus throws weird floaty thing that gets enemy to look up and marvel while shot put guy pummels them with rocks, etc.
@curtis72372087@UntoldWarFacts My son is a cadet today - great program for kids interested in aviation and/or military service. Though I can’t imagine giving those guys a live depth charge!
@CodifyBaseball The game today looks for max velocity/effort. Plenty of HOF types from the past would be lucky to make D3 these days. Metrics over actual pitching acumen.
@afneil Assuming the waiter wasn’t so moral as to report the cash tip on his tax returns, he was better off with the $150 clear of taxes. As was the owner who avoided the swipe fee. The only one losing here was the government. Everyone else had more in their pocket at night’s end.
@afneil Unconventional take here and worth noting @afneil paid by card. Had he tipped the customary 20% on a $1K bill on the card, that would have been reported as taxable income - SSI, FICA, state and local - which likely exceeded 25% at the margin.
@MCCCANM That’s…interesting
I do have to say the @united cards are pretty cool. My son snagged a bunch (6 leg round trip to/from GUM, lots of opportunities) and we were both impressed.
We’ll see how these turn out.
