The reaction from Pakistani activists and commentators to my analysis and views on Sindoor and Bunayan Al Marsoos operations was nothing but insults, personal attacks, jibes, and at times short but distorted recounting of history—even from some well-known figures with huge followers on Twitter.

Anger and name-calling are clear signs of weakness and evaporation of wisdom and civility. However, I want to address one specific insult and allegation: Pakistani activists have called me—and some other true Afghans —“namak haram,” a reference to the era when Pakistan gave refuge to Afghans.

Let’s set the record straight. Pakistan earned unprecedented attention and wealth when it rented its soil, sea and air to foreign powers for operations against Afghanistan or other neighbors. So, if we consumed any “salt” on your soil, it was our own—earned in our name and for our cause, even if it passed through you. Moreover, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, formerly the North-West Frontier Province, never saw us as refugees. They treated us as their own. Check the statements of Pashtun leaders from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who have consistently expressed solidarity and kinship with Afghans. Anger reveals defeat and inferiority. Instead of lashing out, respond with logic and facts.

In the aftermath of the cowardly attacks on innocent Indian tourists at #Pahalgam by Pakistani sponsored terrorists on #22Apr 25, the #IndianNavy’s Carrier Battle Group, surface forces, submarines and aviation assets were immediately deployed at sea with full combat readiness, in concert with the joint operational plan of the Indian Defence Forces.

Within 96 hrs of the terrorist attack, the #IndianNavy tested and refined tactics & procedures at sea during multiple weapon Firings in the Arabian Sea, revalidating the crew, armament, equipment & platform readiness to deliver various ordnance on selected targets precisely.

The #IndianNavy remained forward deployed in the Northern Arabian Sea in a dissuasive and deterrent posture, with full readiness and capacity to strike select targets at sea, and on land, compelling Pakistani Naval and air units to be in a defensive posture, inside harbours or very close to their coast.

As part of the escalation control mechanism, the application of force by the Navy was planned in a synchronised manner in concert with the #IndianArmy and the #IndianAirForce.

Along with kinetic actions by the Army and the Air Force, the overwhelming operational edge of Indian Navy at sea, contributed towards Pakistan’s urgent request for a ceasefire yesterday.

The #IndianNavy remains deployed at sea in a credible deterrent posture, to respond decisively to any inimical action by Pakistan, or Pakistan based terrorist.
