@callumLtfc @ChimeWhistle I always try to buy from the onboard conductor but they donโt all carry card printers due to the extra weight. Unfortunately if they havenโt got one I purchase my PlusBus from the ticket office instead ๐๏ธ
Absolutely loved that radio moment. Jeremy Vine attempts to ring Simon Calder on a train using just onboard WiFi after ridiculous reports that only 1% of WiFi works.
Went straight through with a crystal clear reception ๐ I have a wonderful glowing smug feeling about my person.

From what Iโve seen today it looks like a very lucrative deal for the Anglia Railways drivers, instructors & depot drivers at GA although I must admit that I have not seen the fine detail.
@ChimeWhistle To think that South Eastern refused initially to accept free/priv rail staff travel on the route.

@MattyCanPic @Modern_Railways There is not enough juice in certain sections hence why that option couldnโt be explored. Avanti are using some 805s in diesel mode for exactly the same reason.

@Kosmo100 @phil2hoots @railnews Most definitely a good thing. Anything that improves public transport especially trains is good in my book. Never did understand why this West Country branch line was so neglected.

@Kosmo100 @phil2hoots @railnews You wouldnโt expect a regional branch line to be profitable anywhere in the UK. Costs have obviously increased but time will tell how much the gap is closing.
@manfrommaralea @railnews Which is very good for a quiet branch line that has been neglected for so long. Remember this is just week one. Onwards and upwards.
