@CoastalConcern@think_or_swim@IrishEnvNet@foeireland ORE at-any-cost journos shut down objections to huge intrusion of industrialised seascape as nimbyism to deflect from reality of irreversible destruction of geogenic sandbank habitat BENEATH megaturbines: 80m boreholes+dredging +cement mattressing +array cable spaghetti junction

Unfortunately I find myself again objecting to a wind farm, this time on a bog in Donegal. No lessons learned from 2020 Meenbog landslide & right beside an SAC salmon river. If it was really emissions we were concerned about we would be restoring bogs not building on them
The @dl_Seafront campaign are running a public meeting this evening from 7pm about #DunLaoghaire Baths in the Maritime Museum.
A very important local Campaign to ensure our amenities remain public and are fully accessible to everyone in the Community.
Sitka Spruce is the "battery hen" of the forestry industry in Ireland. The reality not the perception of a profiteering forest Industry which makes little effort to improve the managment of these plantations or deal with legacy issues or to innovative & modernise how this is done

If Coillte needs outside help to do forestry, what's the point of Coillte?
We need to see the remit of Coillte change so that it is not a just-for-profit enterprise but acknowledges the social and environmental benefits of forests
