Like all of you, I am utterly stunned and heartbroken and sick to my soul today. It is unimaginable to write these words. I met Charlie Kirk when he was 18 years old, a young man so eager and determined that I immediately turned to a friend and said, “That kid is going to be the head of the RNC one day.” Charlie became even bigger and more important than that. It was a privilege to watch this principled man stand up for his beliefs and create the single most important conservative political organization in America. But more importantly, Charlie was a good man, a man who believed in right and wrong, who stood by his Biblical values. Bob sat down for an interview with the WA Sheriffs & Police Association and when it was politely addressed that we are facing record crime & have the same party controlling all branches of our government, he lost his mind. 

We are supposed to believe he is going to hire more cops, but he can’t even complete a 30 minute interview with law enforcement without going ballistic. This man will take zero accountability for the problems plaguing Washington.

28 individuals ran for governor in the primary—this means thousands of votes went to candidates other than me or my opponent Bob Ferguson. I want to speak directly to the folks that chose another candidate in the primary. 

We may not agree on everything, but I promise you, there is more that unites us than divides us. I’m sure we agree that when it comes to cost of living and crime, Washington is on the wrong track. Bob Ferguson is the status quo—he will not correct course. 

Bob Ferguson supported decriminalizing fentanyl. An average of 52 TEENAGERS die from an overdose in Washington each week. That’s more than double the national average. 

Our cities have been taken over by tent encampments filled with drugs and sex trafficking. Mental illness isn’t being treated—and the cycle continues. 

Our law enforcement has no support from Washington’s top legal officer, Bob Ferguson.

For the last 13 years, Washington has ranked 51st in the nation for officer to citizen ratio. Bob has been Attorney General for 12 years. Do the math. Police departments are understaffed and he’ll do nothing to solve that problem. 

Washington needs a change in morale. We need a leader who will prioritize cleaning up our cities and getting people the treatment they need so the cycle of addiction and homelessness ends. 

Washington needs a leader who will stop raising taxes and pricing out the next generation of Washingtonians. 

I think we can all agree—we don’t want our children and grandchildren forced to leave the state we love because they can’t afford it. 

I hope you’ll consider supporting me in November. Over the next few months, I’ll work tirelessly to earn your vote.
