Minister of Electricity Dr Kgosientso Ramokgopa has announced that load reduction, which is localized electricity cuts that mostly affect poor communities will be ended soon.

He says the process will take 12 to 18 months depending on community cooperation, with some areas potentially taking longer.

The government is committed to providing continuous electricity 24/7 to all South Africans.
