UK government says “we have decided not to limit VPNs”

🎉 This is a huge win for everyone that has spoken out against proposals to limit VPNs.

We have always maintained that the ability of adults and children to enjoy enhanced privacy and cybersecurity provided by VPNs is a sign of a healthy liberal democracy.

Yesterday we joined 20+ organisations writing to the government, urging them to rethink proposals to resrtrict VPNs.

Anonymity and enhanced privacy allow everyone from domestic abuse survivors, journalists, whistleblowers and human rights campaigners to communicate securely.
