Canada’s government is now using your tax dollars to buy up empty condos in B.C. — and calling it “affordable housing.” Here’s what they’re not telling you. Developers overbuilt and couldn’t sell. Instead of letting the market correct, the government stepped in with $3.2 billion to bail them out. The developers get made whole. The government gets control of the housing supply. And you? You get to pay for it. Now imagine owning a $1M condo while the units around you fill with subsidized housing. What happens to your value? Your rent? Your exit? They already run the banks, healthcare, and your taxes. Now they’re reaching into the market itself. Follow the money — it never ends up in your pocket.
🚨 Big Tech just saved Canadians from their own government.
Here’s what Bill C-22 would have done to your phone. 👇
📌 The Liberal bill would force companies to build technical backdoors into encrypted devices - giving government access without a judge’s approval.
📌 Secret orders. No judicial oversight. No transparency with users. Ministers could compel compliance unilaterally.
📌 User metadata retained for up to one year. Mandatory.
Then Big Tech showed up.
📌 Apple to Parliament: “When you build a backdoor into an encrypted device - anyone can walk through.”
📌 Google: Bill C-22 “goes well beyond lawful access regimes in other G7 democracies.”
📌 Meta: The bill would make WhatsApp and Messenger “an extension of the government’s surveillance apparatus.”
📌 Signal, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Windscribe, ProtonVPN all threatened to leave Canada entirely if it passed.
📌 Apple pointed to the 2024 Salt Typhoon cyberattack on US systems - which exploited the exact same “lawful access” infrastructure Carney wants to build here.
“That law was narrower than Bill C-22. Imagine what could happen here.”
Think about that. 👆
The Chinese government hacked US systems through a legal backdoor Washington created.
Carney wants to build a bigger one. In Canada.
And he didn’t ask you. 🤐
This isn’t about catching criminals.
If it was - they’d require a judge.
This is a government that funded $1.4B in CBC propaganda, appointed 740 judges, captured 105 senators —
And now wants a backdoor into your phone. 📱
Without a warrant. 👇
Apple and Google did more to protect Canadian civil liberties this month than the Liberal Party has in 10 years.
Let that land. 🇨🇦
🔁 Repost before this gets buried.

Just so EVERYONE in Canada fully understands this
Under c-22, cell phone service providers are now required to track the location of your phone
for six months, and store it
in case the government or the police ever want it.
The more you know.
Tech companies on Bill C-22
• Shopify @Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke @tobi warned that Bill C-22 could become a “death blow to Canadian tech viability” and make Canada “essentially unviable for those with choices on where to build.”
• Signal's @signalapp VP of Strategy & Global Affairs Udbhav Tiwari stated, "In its current form, Bill C-22 would convert the everyday tools Canadians rely on into a sprawling, insecure surveillance apparatus."
• Apple @Apple Senior Director of User Privacy & Child Safety Erik Neuenschwander warned that Bill C-22 allows the Government of Canada to force companies to break encryption by inserting backdoors into their products - “something Apple will never do.”
• Google's @Google Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy Jeanette Patell warned that Bill C-22 “goes well beyond lawful access regimes in other G7 democracies, and risks creating new surveillance infrastructure that would introduce serious security vulnerabilities, undermine user trust and hinder our ability to innovate and offer pro-privacy technologies.”
• Meta @Meta warned that Bill C-22 could require companies to build or maintain capabilities that weaken encryption and that could force providers to "install government spyware directly on their systems."
• Proton VPN @ProtonVPN General Manager David Peterson warned that complying with Bill C-22 could conflict with Swiss and European privacy obligations. He said, “Complying with foreign surveillance orders without Swiss legal process is a criminal offence...We’ll defend our Canadian users and never compromise them.”
• NordVPN @NordVPN stated that “there isn’t a scenario in which we would compromise our no-logs architecture or encryption protections" and that it would consider limiting or removing its Canadian presence.
• ExpressVPN @expressvpn warned, “Legislation that mandates data retention or technical access, however well-intentioned, undermines the security that millions of users rely on."
• DuckDuckGo @DuckDuckGo stated that "if the bill passes, we will be forced to stop offering our VPN in Canada."
• Windscribe @windscribecom stated, “...they want to destroy the entire essence of our service to basically spy on its own citizens."
Privacy protects citizens. It also protects innovation.
Note: These statements were made before Bill C-22 was amended on June 18, 2026. In our view, those amendments did not meaningfully address concerns raised by tech companies, privacy experts, or civil liberties organizations. The companies above are free to tell Canadians whether the amendments have changed their assessment.
🚨🚨🚨 THE ALARM BELLS NEED TO BE DEAFENING !! 🚨🚨🚨
Expert after expert just testified on Bill C-22:
- Canadian Civil Liberties Association
- OpenMedia
- Signal
- Google
- Meta
All saying the same thing:
This is the most dangerous surveillance bill they’ve seen in over a decade.
They told us it was about safety and fighting crime.
What they’re actually building is more state control with zero meaningful accountability.
This isn’t “modernizing lawful access.”
This is the digital cage snapping shut — one rushed bill at a time.
If you’re still shrugging, you’re not paying attention.
Canada is building a digital surveillance apparatus so total, so invasive, and so unaccountable that it would make North Korea envious.
Bill C-22 isn’t “modernizing lawful access.”
It’s the state ordering every major tech company — Signal, Google, Meta, and beyond — to build permanent backdoors into their systems.
It’s forcing them to log who every Canadian talks to, when, and from where — for up to a year — on every app you use to bank, access healthcare, message your family, or live your private life.
It’s giving the government the power to demand encryption be broken, data deletion controls overridden, and remote access capabilities installed… all under blanket secrecy provisions so the companies can’t even tell you it happened.
Expert after expert testified under oath:
“This is the most dangerous surveillance bill I’ve seen in more than ten years.”
“A backdoor built for the good guys is simply a vulnerability waiting for the bad guys.”
“Part 2 is incompatible with the fundamental human right to privacy.”
And Carney’s Public Safety Minister is ramming it through Parliament with only three sitting days of hearings. No real debate. No proper scrutiny. Just “trust us, it’s for your safety.”
This is the quiet part said out loud: more state control, zero meaningful accountability.
C-2. C-8. C-11. C-22. C-34. C-63.
Piece by piece. Bill by bill. They are welding the digital cage shut around every Canadian.
If this passes, you don’t get privacy. You get permanent surveillance with the government holding the master key — and the legal right to lie about it.
This isn’t Canada anymore.
This is what happens when a government stops seeing citizens as free people and starts seeing them as data to be owned and monitored.
Wake up. Call your MP. Flood their phones. Scream if you have to.
Before the cage door locks for good.

It's sunny in Ottawa, but one of the darkest weeks for our democracy.
The Liberals are ramming through, C-9 (hate), C-22 (lawful access) and C-34 (digital safety).

Elbows Up Canadian fans booed the US flag at the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony.
Tonight at UFC Freedom 250, American fans proudly sang the Canadian national anthem for Aiemann Zahabi.
This is how you respect a flag.

Those classless Canadians that followed Justin Trudeau’s direction to boo the US National

Canada has long been known as a land of immigrants and opportunity. However, many are left wondering:
what broke Canada?
Here is a real story shared by a close friend.
My friend landed in Canada in 2015 and was offered free English coaching as part of his early settlement assistance in Saskatchewan. He joined these English lessons and noticed that he had several classmates from the African continent. Surprisingly, these classmates had been stuck at the exact same English proficiency level for three to four years. This was shocking to my friend because it was a very basic, introductory level that could easily be cleared within three months.
After befriending most of them, my friend figured out the truth. These individuals had actually been living in Canada for seven to eight years and were still studying at the exact same college. Furthermore, none of them had applied for Canadian citizenship; they all remained permanent residents.
The Loophole
The reason was simple, if you become a Canadian citizen, you no longer qualify for free language schooling. These free English programs are a benefit reserved strictly for permanent residents.
Because they shared a similar religious background, many of these families had between four and eight children. Additionally, their cultural or religious beliefs did not permit the women to work outside the home. Since the men were perpetually "in school," these families were able to claim every single government benefit available to them. They received money for:
Food and groceries
Rent assistance
Unemployment benefits
Child tax benefits
Meanwhile, our own elderly population has to keep working well past the age of 65 simply because they cannot afford to retire.
This is what broke Canada: weak government policies exploited by strong personal interests.
Bill C-11
Bill C-18
Bill C-22
Bill C-34
Bill C-9
See the pattern yet? Note how it’s always for “safety” and “protecting children”.
There’s more I could list if this isn’t enough to at least make you stop and think “what is the end goal here?”
🚨 Canada’s institutional capture is now complete.
Since 2015 the Liberals have appointed:
⚖️ 740 of 1,000 federal judges
🏛️ 7 of 9 Supreme Court justices
📜 100 of 105 senators
📰 Fund 30% of every reporter’s salary in Canada
And that’s just the foundation.
Add to that:
📺 CBC: $1.4B annually to defend the Liberal narrative
🏦 Bank of Canada: Redefining recession in real time
📊 StatsCan: Counting Census workers as permanent jobs
📬 Senate: Hiding 240,000 democratic postcards in a warehouse
🌐 Bill C-8: MPs can delete you from the internet without a judge
🎙️ Carney on tape: Admitting central bankers bypassed voters on ESG
They control the courts.
They control the Senate.
They control the Supreme Court.
They control the media funding.
They control the state broadcaster.
Now they want to control the internet.
Not one institution left standing independently.
This is not democracy.
This is managed decline with Canadian characteristics.
And most Canadians are still waiting for CBC to tell them about it.

The federal government is expected to introduce legislation banning social media for Canadians under the age of 16, with exemptions for platforms that meet certain government safety requirements, although those details are not yet known.
To be sure, many Canadians are concerned about the impact of social media on young people. However, a blanket social media ban implemented by the government is not the solution. Social media access for youth should remain the domain of parents, not government. Parents are best equipped to determine how their children use social media in alignment with their values and risk tolerance.
Social media restrictions require age verification. This means that all Canadians, not just youths under 16, will have to verify their identities in order to access the affected platforms. This in turn will mean that all Canadians will be forced to surrender their private information to governments and technology companies - often in foreign jurisdictions - in order to use the platforms they use every day for business, leisure, and connection. Once again, Canadians face the problem of privacy-violating digital identity technologies in the name of public safety.
The Justice Centre opposes government internet surveillance and the displacement of parents as the primary decision-makers responsible for protecting young people from online harms.

Adam van Koeverden - “we have to stick to the facts here Mister Speaker, Canada’s economy is growing”
“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
George Orwell, 1984
Mark Carney says Canada was founded on NOTHING.
No race. No creed. No faith.
Fact check:
The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms — the actual supreme law of our land — opens with these words:
"Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law."
Not "no faith."
Not "nothing."
The founding fathers invoked the God of the Bible. Dominion from sea to sea.
Carney isn't mistaken. He's deliberately rewriting our history to turn Canada into a blank slate for his globalist agenda.
This is the man who wants to be Prime Minister.
If he can't tell the truth about where we came from, he has no business deciding where we're going.
Canadians built this country on real principles — not blank pages and empty slogans.
Drop a 🔥 if you're tired of the historical gaslighting.

Bill C-15 just passed the House of Commons with POWERS OF A KING anti-democratic clauses intact. The Liberals ignored massive public backlash to push through powers that let cabinet ministers exempt corporate insiders from federal laws. The rule of law just took a massive hit🛑📉
