Let this be a lesson to everyone, just because you’re talented, doesn’t mean you’re untouchable. Anything you say or do has repercussions. Dropped from Red Bull, and now Williams. He stopped himself from being an F1 driver, and that’s a shame
Williams have released Dan Ticktum from his role a Development Driver and their Driver Academy with immediate effect. He renewed his deal at the start of the year, having joined ahead of 2020. #F1 https://t.co/JWXVNtJ3CX
@wetalkhockeyy It’s a pure buy low and it comes with no risks because you can just send him to the minors and the cap hit is completely buried. The best case scenario is he’s a very serviceable 3C, which for the short term, we need without giving up significant assets or over-paying someone
@HFTVSports It’s a pure buy low, plus it’s motivation for guys like Kapanen and Beck to work hard and beat him out of a roster spot. If Veleno’s a solid 3 or 4 C then we really shouldn’t be complaining
@satosgs Heres the thing with Silovs. Yes, he won the Calder, yes, he won playoff MVP, but he hasn’t been nearly consistent enough at the NHL level when called upon and got beat out by Lankinen to the starting role with Demko was out. I agree maybe there was more trade value there, though
@Debribus @HFTVSports@mndamico Then you send him down on waivers, either a team claims or he clears and asks for a contract termination and he finishes his career in the KHL. There really isn’t any setback if it doesn’t pan out
@MikeBartner Mike, even if they get a valid 2C, they aren’t a cup contender. Are they deep? Yes, but there’s no superstar anywhere in this lineup. There’s no player that can go into takeover mode to win a crucial game. They are just a much better version of the Suter/Parise Minnesota Wild.
@NHL_Watcher Need to find a way to get reliable tending. 5 of the 6 games, they allowed 4 or more goals. You can say they could of been better defensively all you want, but you need someone to bail you out every now and then
