From my interview tonight with Laney coach Coraey Houser:
“Honestly, I was very emotional before the game. I told the guys I was just trying to figure out if I was doing this right.”
From weather canceling games to a heartbreaking overtime loss last week, the first half of Houser’s first season at Laney has been anything but smooth.
But through all of it, he’s maintained one of the most positive attitudes I’ve seen from a high school coach. He’s almost always wearing a smile, and that energy clearly carries over to his players.
“I tell them every day, the sun’s still gonna shine tomorrow. It might not shine in Wilmington, North Carolina, but it will shine somewhere.” @Houser_Coach@FootballLaney
All praises to the most high! Thank you God for the opportunity to lead these group of men! I am grateful to be the new Defensive Coordinator for @NHHSFootball25

I’m so thankful and blessed to be apart of the staff! We go through a lot but at the end of the day we are making a difference as soon as we walk through the front doors! With that being said it’s Friday and we are on break for 3 weeks! #snipesteach@sfree23
He'll dribble his way into your heart! Meet the WWAY Michael and Son Teacher of the Week Coraey Houser from Snipes Academy of Arts & Design!
