@MatthewCappucci I will never understand how we managed to become a society that celebrates ignorance. Ignorance isn't a different viewpoint or alternative take; it's a cancer that erodes discourse, society, critical thinking, and gets people hurt.
@HeatNationCom@BleacherReport Is he the same kyrie post acl tear? Thing with either dame or kyrie is theyโre in the later parts of their career and have sustained major injuries. Achilles and acl tears are nothing minor
Heat fans want a star, but donโt want to give up assets.
They want to rebuild, but donโt want to tank.
They want a shakeup, but donโt want to trade for Giannis.
What do yall really want? ๐ซฉ
@HeatvsHaters The reality is, the Heat need to do anything but what they've been doing the last few seasons. It's clearly not working and there's nothing left to "figure out" with the current core. The team needs a shake-up
@HeatvsHaters Well Iโm over seeing this same group go to the play-in over and over. So we need to shake it up. Giannis is whoโs available right now. Go for it.
@ThiccPapaSIZZLE@HeatvsHaters You can tell which ones have only been here since 2020 or so. The ones who experienced 2006 or the big 3 know what it takes
@HeatvsHaters Man screw those fans. They must be super young and only know the struggle for every point Heat teams. If you grew up during the Shaq and Bron acquisitions, you should know we NEED to go get a star!
@KellyLinters22@sportsfanatic39@HeatvsHaters Bingo. I don't understand all the glazing and salivating over some of our young players when it's clear their ceiling at best is a good role player. It's not like we have blue chip prospects on the roster
@AkaiHaatochama@ChefTrillie Oh it started sooner, but this was the worst offseason of the run-it-back epidemic. I would say this was the fever point of it, believing that Herro and some other pieces were somehow better than the guys we were trying to acquire. The delusions were real
@Heat_Muse The Knicks suffered through two brutal decades of constant disappointment and in some cases outright mediocrity. Cycles have expiration dates & it was only a matter of time until they built a team good enough to win it all. We will be back one day, it's just not our time rn.
@Heat_Muse Knicks kept retooling (as did many of our rivals) while we stayed put and "like our team." I'm a Heat fan ride or die, but we were always a final piece away & I don't believe it was a whale we needed: we needed another high-impact, high-production player or two
@5ReasonsSports Only thing is, we donโt have a guy on our roster who is anywhere remotely close to a Dwayne Wade. Hell, Herro and Bam combined arenโt half of what d wade was
I totally understand the skepticism on Miami landing Giannis
But the part that surprises me is those who push back on the aftermath of a potential deal
Letโs not forget who Giannis is even at this stage
And letโs stop acting like heโs 37 years old
@ApexJonesHACKED To finish this point, "leading in all statistical categories" is just a politically correct way to imply the dude's a ballhog and micromanager who needs to control every single aspect and put up a Christmas tree stat line, even if it compromises success at a team level
Another reason why the Pip won w/o MJ but MJ couldn't win w/o Pip talking point is so stupid is because MJ DIDN'T NEED to prove he could win with or without Scottie. SCOTTIE was the one who needed to prove he could lead a team to a title or not if he wanted to be seen in the same light as MJ, which he ultimately failed to do. With Portland and in 94, he showed us exactly what we knew. He was a great player in his prime with championship experience, but was best served as the secondary option on a title team and not the number 1.
MJ didn't need to prove squat. HE WON ALL 6 FMVPs, that's ALL the "proof" required. He had nothing left to prove when he retired in 93, he had nothing left to prove when he retired in 98, and he did NOT need to prove he could win with or without Scottie cause that's the entire point of being the FMVP
